Yamuna Body Rolling
Workshop with Tom Keenan
Saturday & Sunday,
1:00-5:00 pm
$70 1 day, $110 both days.
Tom
is a certified Yamuna Body Rolling teacher. This workshop
teaches the basics
of body rolling. Yin-Yoga
type work uses the balls to hold poses longer for
deep release. Experience effective and simple techniques for relaxation,
stretching and massage. Working with the ball helps to open tight hips,
shoulders and hamstrings. This workshop is recommended for all levels of
students, especially students with chronic pain and injuries. No experience
is necessary, and you do not need to have prior yoga experience, but even
experienced yoga students and yoga teachers will obtain insight into yoga
postures using the balls. Balls are provided, but you can also purchase your
own ball kit at the workshop.

relaxes but also heals wounds? That roses have been used since
ancient times to express love, and that the rose has the highest
spiritual frequency of any plant? That many oils oxygenate the
pineal gland and assist meditation and sacred journeys?
Rose will describe how to use aromas
for enjoyment, healing and meditation rituals. You will have the
opportunity to smell many 100% pure therapeutic essential oils
and ask questions during and after the presentation.
Informational handouts are included. |

Breath
The art and science of breathing, known as
pranayama, is an essential part of yoga practice. Mostly it
is about awareness—being receptive, entering the inner
kingdom of the body, the caves of the chest and abdomen,
feeling, following the internal winds of the breath, the
five vayus. Then in all classical pranayamas it can be
coached, monitored, assisted, manipulated, attended and
directed. You can become a breath attendant (almost the same
job as flight attendant!). If there is no connection or
consciousness, it becomes mere exercise with no meaning.
Now, how do you learn to feel, to see or listen if you
don’t? By being present, waiting for the doors and windows
to open, by being patient. Open by stretching your antennas
in all directions so a certain form of channeling takes
place and reveals the wild nature of breath—the primal,
preverbal, prehistoric, pre-everything nature of life.
