Beginning Ashtanga Yoga 2
Ashtanga Yoga is a traditional system of yoga that originated in Mysore, India and links sun-salutation type of movements with breathing. There are over 300 postures in the entire system. Beginning Ashtanga teaches the first 24 yoga postures to build skill, strength and flexibility. Ashtanga class begins with 8 sun salutations and continues with 12 standing poses and 12 floor poses. This sequence can challenge experienced students and still be accessible for new students. The teacher will show you how to modify more challenging postures.
